New Years Eve Outfit Rundown .

by hopelesslyambitiousv

Ahhhh, the sweet smell of what looks to be the beginning of a great year. Too optimistic ? Too early to call? Perhaps just a little too ambitious ?  Duh . Check the link in your browser bar friends, this blog is called hopelessly AMBITIOUS V.  You won’t get any Debbie downer type news from me!

The reason I know its gonna be a great year is because I started it off right :).

After a FaceTime session with my mom back in Providence, she convinced my depressed, self loathing, homesick self to pack my bags and “hop on the bus!” And that’s exactly what I did – NEW YEARS EVE. As soon as my Peter Pan bus arrived in Port Authority I was in a frenzy to find an outfit for the evening. I was feeling so bad out there in Providence and knew I wouldn’t be able to come back home, that I didn’t even bother to look for an outfit. It was the last thing on my mind. But thankfully this is New York City; a place where you can actually find stores open hours before an event, even New Year’s Eve (did I mention how much I love New York ??!)

So I met up with one of my best friends Anisah, and we got down to business searching for outfits.

Anisah unlike me, had a game plan for what she wanted to wear. She walked in stores knowing that she would eventually walk out with the fur vest she wanted. I on the other hand, had no clue what I wanted not to mention, we didn’t even have a game plan for the rest of the night to truly get into what was gonna be appropriate.

So here’s the looks Anisah & I wound up in:

Faux Fur vest purchased at Forever 21, Pants Zara

Top H&M, Faux leather pants Urban Outfitters

So that’s the wrap up of our New Years Eve outfit pre game. I’m just glad I was able to make it home and celebrate the occasion with one of my best friends <3.
